FAQ
Root canal in Dubai: what people ask
What does a root canal cost in Dubai?
Front teeth typically cost AED 1,000 to 2,500 and molars AED 1,500 to 4,000, because molars have more canals. Most root-treated back teeth also need a crown afterwards at AED 1,500 to 3,500; a quote that excludes the crown is not the full picture.
Does a root canal hurt?
The procedure itself is done under local anaesthesia and for most patients feels like a long filling. The pain people associate with root canals is usually the infection before treatment, which the procedure removes. Some tenderness for a few days afterwards is normal.
How many visits does it take?
Simple cases are commonly finished in one visit of 60 to 90 minutes. Infected or complex molars often take two. The crown, if needed, adds another visit or two.
Root canal or extraction?
Keeping your own tooth is almost always cheaper and better long-term than extraction plus an implant or bridge. Extraction wins only when the tooth is cracked below the gum or too broken down to restore.
